Audiologist/ Hearing Instrument Specialist

Job type: Full-time

Shifts: Days

Summary:

A well-established hearing care practice in Hickory, NC is seeking a licensed Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, compassionate, and dedicated to improving patients' hearing and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, including diagnostic audiological testing.
  • Interpret test results and provide professional recommendations for hearing care solutions.
  • Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids and other amplification devices.
  • Counsel patients and families on hearing loss, treatment options, device care, and follow-up plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build long-term patient relationships.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth clinical operations.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, hearing aid technology, and clinical techniques.
Audiologist Requirements:
  • Au.D. preferred; Master's degree accepted.
  • Eligible for or holding a North Carolina Audiology license.
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric audiology.
  • Interest in cochlear implants is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a patient-centered approach.
HIS Requirements:
  • Licensed or eligible for HIS licensure in North Carolina.
  • Graduate of an accredited HIS program or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to deliver reliable, timely, and compassionate patient care.
