Responsibilities Operating Room Assistants support the surgical team before, during and after surgery by cleaning, procuring equipment, opening sterile supplies, and transporting patients as needed. They assist Surgical Techs and Nurses with various assigned duties and work as a member of the surgical team alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, surgical technologists, and other surgical personnel. This position is a day shift role. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred. AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required. Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field.
