Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an Operating Room setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and patient safety standards
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR support staff

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and advocate for patient safety and comfort
• Implement physician orders, administer prescribed medications, and monitor vital signs
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt, accurate assistance
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including intraoperative documentation
• Adhere to all hospital and nursing standards, as well as regulatory policies
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the perioperative environment
