Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Work within a 16-bed, all-private room unit offering comprehensive support and progressive technology. Schedule/Hours:

• Schedule cycle runs every 6 weeks
• Rotating every other weekend
• No call required
• Expect to work 75% of holidays
• Approved requests off up to 6 days (excluding holidays, with completion of contracted hours)

Key Qualifications:

• Current RN license with 18+ months recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry or PCU (resource team)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Competence in PIV starts, NG tube management, chest tube and surgical drain care, pleurx drains, and telemetry monitoring
• Previous travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers may be considered

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to cardiac and medical overflow patients, addressing conditions such as chest pain, post-CV surgery, heart failure, and arrhythmias
• Safely administer and manage IV cardiac medications (e.g., Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Milrinone, Diltiazem)
• Coordinate with CNAs, respiratory therapists, and physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain patient ratios at 1:4, utilizing Epic, Alaris, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, and additional unit-specific technology
• Float between hospitals within the designated region as needed, always within your scope of practice

Department Support & Environment:

• CNAs available for ADLs, foley care, and phlebotomy
• 24/7 respiratory therapy and hospitalist coverage
• Access to IV/VAT teams and comprehensive remote telemetry monitoring
