Job Overview Solutions Architect – Responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure networks for the Department of Defense. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with DoD experts and stakeholders to assess strategic goals and operational needs that shape network and security requirements. Lead planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance for network, cloud, and security components. Resolve interoperability issues across platforms and support hardware acquisition. Automate networking systems, modernize existing solutions, leverage cloud technologies, and broaden the scope of network engineering work. Guide senior leaders (CISO, CIO, CTO) in developing cybersecurity capability maturation. Required Qualifications HS diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience selecting, designing, and implementing security tools for large, complex federal or commercial organizations. Experience with software inventory, vulnerability scanning, DevSecOps pipeline, Continuous ATO, and vendor risk management. Architected Zero Trust solutions aligned with NIST 800‑207 and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture. Current Secret clearance (subject to security investigation). Preferred Qualifications Experience building a unified view of software risk through automation and provenance. Leadership experience in cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering. Knowledge of advanced cybersecurity capabilities (A&O, AI/ML, NGFW, Big Data). Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, eMASS, and DoW 8140 requirements.
