This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and seeks exposure to diverse leadership styles and patient care strategies. Schedule/Hours:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30AM – 5:00PM)
• No weekend or on-call requirement, though extra shifts are available for those wanting to volunteer

Key Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico RN license or eligible Compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of 1 year Operating Room nursing experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide both routine and complex perioperative care using nursing process principles: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, independence, and clinical competence while remaining adaptable to floating between the main campus and primary assignment as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; observe for effectiveness and potential side effects
• Assess psychological, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and families, addressing these with empathy and professionalism
• Thoroughly document patient care and support education for patients and caregivers
• Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities appropriately to manage care delivery
