Job Description

Freeman French Freeman seeks an entry-level Interior Designer to join our team in Burlington, Vermont. The Interior Designer is an essential team member responsible for supporting the interior design department at Freeman French Freeman. This person will work under the direction of the Director of Interiors and will contribute to all phases of design. They will help produce documents for client presentation and construction, participate in client meetings, and maintain the office’s sample library. Responsibilities Include Contribute to conceptual designs, space planning, finish selections, and construction documents Prepare design presentations including concept boards, renderings, and finish boards Collaborate with project team members and consultants Participate in client meetings and produce meeting minutes Participate in the programming process and write reports Maintain and update material sample library Key Qualifications Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in interior design or related field. Candidates with other education or experience will be considered based on demonstrated capabilities. 0-3 years of professional design experience Familiarity with Revit is preferred Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or related software for visualization and presentations is preferred Interest in a sustainable approach to interior design Excellent communications skills required. Ability to think and act proactively Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and structure time to meet deadlines About FFF Established in 1937, Freeman French Freeman has been a leader in Vermont architecture for nearly nine decades. We are a general practice firm with approximately 20 staff and are best known for our work in the higher education, health care, multi-family residential, recreation, and commercial markets. We offer competitive compensation with full benefits including health insurance, a 401k retirement plan, profit sharing, flexible vacation and sick time, and a dog-friendly office just two blocks from Lake Champlain. This is an in-person position at our Burlington office with some flexibility for remote work. The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $65,000, plus benefits.
